Those traveling from the GA and the Carolinas may find THIS ROUTE to be the best means of travel to avoid impacted areas and interfering with response efforts. From the East, Knoxville on 81 to Johnson City (expect delays). From the West, through NC, take 74/77 to Wytheville, VA, and 81 from there to Johnson City.
